IJ Start Canon Pixma TR4522 Setup Drivers – Introducing the All-in-one printer, built-in fax and automatic document feeder Canon PIXMA TR5422 with scanning and copying functions. The Canon Pixma TR4522 wireless printer is designed for light family and home use. As you can expect from an all-in-one at this price, it’s a bit slow and expensive to use, but it comes with a set of powerful features and prints very well, especially photos. Also, like some of the other printers we’ve seen recently, it includes support for Amazon Alexa, which allows hands-free printing. This is a strong competitor for home office users who need low-cost AIO to print, copy and scan light tasks.

Beginner-level home printers, such as the TR4522, spend most of their time doing nothing until you call them to process photos occasionally, some pages of documents here, copies or two there: the idea is understood. Because of this, Canon and its competitors designed them to take the least possible amount of real estate or counter tables. For this reason, the TR4522 measures 7.5 times 17.7 times 11.7 inches (HWD) and weighs 13 pounds, which is in line with the low-cost competition.

As for paper handling, the TR4522 comes with a 100-sheet paper tray, and the automatic double-sided document feeder (ADF) supports up to 20 letter-sized sheets. His brother, the Pixma TR7520, on the other hand, has capacity for 200 sheets, divided between 100 front and rear trays. The HP OfficeJet 3830 (the cheapest in this group) has the same number of sheets as the TR4522, but cannot print two-sided pages automatically. And finally, the Epson WF-2860 supports up to 150 sheets of an input source.

Canon does not publish monthly work cycles and recommends monthly print volume specifications for consumer-level inkjet printers. With its classification of printing speed (which I will analyze next), the low paper capacity and the high operating costs (also appear), you should not rely on this AIO for more than a few hundred pages each month; although it can certainly produce more from time to time if necessary.

Basic connectivity consists of USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi, and drivers for Android, Fire OS, iOS and Windows 10 are available. Access, configuration and navigation tasks are handled from a very basic control panel, as shown below.

You can also print, scan and manipulate images from your Android or iOS device with the Canon Print application and Easy-PhotoPrint Editor. Finally, the Canon Message In Print application allows you to embed hidden messages (text, animations, video links and other creative enhancements) directly in the image. You can then use the camera of your mobile device to view messages embedded in printed images.

Canon also began incorporating smart home functionality through integrated support for Amazon Alexa, as well as support for Google Assistant and other automation services through IFTTT (If This Then That) technology. HP and Epson also recently arrived with IFTTT voice activation: HP with Tango X and Epson with all their machines that support the company’s Epson Connect service.

With IFTTT voice activation, you can tell your machine to print through the application on your smartphone, or through Smart Echo speakers and other IFTTT listening devices. So far, I have seen IFTTT technology integrated into three Pixmas, TS9520, TS9521C and TR4522.

Not built for speed
Canon rates TR4522 at 8.8 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome pages and 5ppm for color pages, which, in addition to HP 3830 (8.5ppm), is the lowest print speed I know. I tested TR4522 via USB from a standard PC test stand equipped with our Intel Core i5 with Windows 10 Professional. TR4522 prints our standard 12-page Microsoft Word test document at 8.5 ppm. That is slower than any of the other basic level printers mentioned here.

Next, I printed a very complex set of Acrobat, Excel and PowerPoint business documents that mainly consist of embedded graphics and embedded photos, and then combined the results with the results of printing 12-page text documents in the previous tests, so that appear. Download/Installation procedure

  1. Download the file. For the location where the file is stored, check your computer settings.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file to decompress it, then the installation will start automatically.

Canon Pixma TR4522 Scanner Driver:

  1. If the OS is upgraded with the fixed scanner driver installed, scanning by pressing the SCAN button on the printer cannot be done after the upgrade. In that case, reinstall the scanner driver.
  2. When the installation of the MP driver is stopped by the following actions with the connection screen wait, install again. The installation does not finish even if plugged in a USB cable again or turned-on Power Supply again.
  3. The scan from the Scan printer button does not work when the connection is changed from a network connection to a USB connection. Install the MP driver again, and change the connection method.

How to install a printer with driver downloads from Canon IJ Setup Site

  • Open the printer Canon IJ Setup Website to get the software drivers that match your printer type. On this website there are many drivers so make sure you do not choose the wrong drivers.

How to Install a Printer with a USB Cable

  • Connect the printer to the computer using the USB cable default. In general default printer USB cable is not too long so you have to put the printer near the computer.
